Description:

Glycerol monostearate (monoglyceride for short) is the most widely used and largest additive and emulsifier in the oil chemical and daily chemical industries. The hydrophilic-lipophilic balance value (HLB value) is 3.6-4.2, which is oil-soluble. Besides emulsification, it also has the functions of sedimentation, depression, anti-aging and controlling fatty acid aggregation. It is a typical non-ionic type. Surfactant.
Monoglyceride is a yellowish wax-like solid, used as an emulsifier and surfactant in food or cosmetics, and as a lubricant for PVC transparent pellets. The product is insoluble in water, hot soluble in grease, paraffin, ethanol, chloroform, acetone, ether.

Application:
① Additives for food and confectionery: used as emulsifier to add chocolate, margarine, ice cream, etc. or used as surfactant, can also be used in noodle products, soy milk products. Adding 01~0.3% to bread can improve preservation, increase softness and volume, improve bread structure and prevent bread aging; add 0.2~0.5% to chocolate products to prevent sugar crystal and oil-water separation, increase delicateness Sense; add 5~15% of the base material to the bubble gum, and the toffee is calculated as fat, add 5~10% to prevent the fat from separating, increase the gloss and prevent the teeth from sticking when eating; add 0.3~0.5% or lecithin to the margarine Use 0.1~0.3% together to prevent oil-water separation; add about 0.8% to the can to prevent oil-water separation.
②In cosmetics: It is the raw material of skin care agent balm, cold cream, hair lotion, shampoo and so on.
③ Thickener for pharmaceutical ointment, also used as emulsifier in medicine.
④It is mainly used as a release agent, plasticizer and antistatic agent in the plastic industry. It is also particularly suitable for plastic foam products, such as "pearl cotton" as an anti-shrinkage agent in the production process. It is an indispensable lubricant in the compound lead salt stabilizer. In the production of agricultural greenhouse films, monoglyceride is the main raw material of the dripping agent.
⑤ Monoglyceride can also be used as a plasticizer for nitrocellulose, a modifier for alkyd resin, a latex dispersant and a compounding agent for synthetic paraffin.
